Visa & Accomodation

Non-EU citizens must have a visa in order to enter Poland. The visa is valid for all 27 European Union Member States. The Office of the Institute of International Relations provides all necessary assistance for the candidate during the visa application process. In case you had any questions regarding the application, please contact Office of the programme of your choice.

The University of Warsaw provides a number of places in Student Residence Halls for both International and Polish Students. In case you were interested in staying in one of the University Halls during your studies in the Institute of International Relations, please contact the Office of the programme of your choice or directly Office for Student Affairs of the University of Warsaw (, or the University International Relations Office (

Academic calendar 2014/2015

The academic year starts in October. The year is divided into two semesters, each followed by an examination period. There is one week inter-semester break.
