Lectures of prof. Jakub Zajączkowski in Saint Petersburg as a part of Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs grant | 15-19.11.2017 | Photo report

 

On 15th – 19th November 2017, prof. Jakub Zajączkowski, director of the Institute of International Relations, University of Warsaw was a visitor at School of International Relations, Saint Petersburg State University. Visit was held as a part of prestigious Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs grant titled Polish-Russian Forum on Polish and Central Europe Studies. During his visit prof. Jakub Zajączkowski gave a series of lectures and held consultations with MA students about their theses.

Director of ISM met with Konstantin Khudoley (manager of the Chair of European Studies)  and Artiom Barynkin, PhD to discuss joint research projects.

During his visit, together with dr Piotr Kajak (v-ce Director of Polonicum UW) prof. Jakub Zajączkowski took part in meeting in Polish Institute in Saint Petersburg with polish language teachers and researchers interested in polish issues. During the meeting the joint projects of ISM and Polonicum UW were presented.

Prof. Jakub Zajączkowski also met with Anna Łazar (acting Director of Polish Institute in St. Petersburg) and Andrzej Chodkiewicz (Consul General of the Republic of Poland in St. Petersburg). 

In  Saint Petersburg both of the professors  from University of Warsaw acompanied by acting Director of Polish Institute in St. Petersburg and Consul General of the Republic of Poland in St. Petersburg saw the premiere of the theatre play Dziady by Adam Mickiewicz. After visit in theatre they gave an interview to Polish National Radio Station (link below).
