Conference RELATIONS BETWEEN RELIGION AND POLITICS as a subject of research of political science [Photo report]

The conference titled RELATIONS BETWEEN RELIGION AND POLITICS as a subject of research of political science  was held on 30 November – 1 December in Warsaw. This event was co-organised by Institute of International Relations University of Warsaw and three Institutes of Political Science (from UMCS, UO, UZ). That was the first meeting but previously mentioned organisators are planning to meet every two years to discuss relations between religion and politics.
Over 40 reasearchers from all over the world took part in the conference (they came from i.e. Israel, Serbia, Rwanda and Italy). The guest of honour and key-note speaker was prof. Jeffrey Haynes from London Metropolitan University, author and redactor of over 40 books, i.e.: Handbook on Religion and Politics (Routledge, 2016), head of European Consortium for Political Research’s Religion and Politics Standing Group and International Political Science Association’s Research Committee „Religion and Politics” (more informations: https://berkleycenter.georgetown.edu/people/jeffrey-haynes).
Nine professors from Faculty of Political Science and International Studies took part in the conference (five of them were from our Institute):  prof. R. Kuźniar, dr hab. I. Rysińska, dr. hab. A. Bógdał- Brzezińska, dr A. Curanović and dr A. Solarz.
