Welcome to the Institute of International Relations, University of Warsaw, Poland!
Our Institute is one of Poland’s leading schools of international relations. It is a part of the prestigious and historic University of Warsaw. The Institute was founded in 1976.
There are 60 teaching and research staff. Teaching and research focus on all aspects of international relations: International Political Economy, International Politics, Diplomacy and Foreign Policy, International Law, Security and Strategic Studies, Culture and Multiculturalism in International Relations, International Relations Theory, Emerging Markets, International Business, Africa and Latin America Studies, India and China Studies, European Integration.
There are 1,500 Polish and International students at all degrees (undergraduate, graduate, PhD ). Institute offers BA, MA and PhD programme in Polish and English.
Every students can spend semester or year abroad. The Institute has worldwide research cooperation and worldwide student exchange programme (EU, India, Nepal, Mexico, China, Taiwan, USA, Canada).
Student can also take part in the Erasmus Placement programme in EU countries
Institute is active in national and international research projects.
Students have opportunity to study in international surrounding. Every year our Institute host visiting professors from Oxford University, Heidelberg University, University of Florence, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Global College International, Kathmandu, University of Calcutta, University of Indonesia and from other institutes and world-known think tanks.
The unique nature of international studies permits students to pursue their interests, to realize their dreams and ambitions, and to acquire practical knowledge enabling them to function more effectively in an international environment. The above seems essential especially nowadays, in the era of increasing globalization.
